IPods, Tiger to head up Apple report - Computer Hardware - Technology, Hardware and Equipment - Earnings

Apple's earnings are due out today and Wall Street analysts are looking for signs of increased Macintosh sales. Furthermore, they are looking for more support of the iPod "halo effect". This article references the data points from SG Cowen that were reported in yesterday's post.

An interesting quote from the article about Mac sales:

"Keith Bachman, of Banc of America Securities, said he expects Apple to report Macintosh shipments to rise between 26% and 28% over last year's 876,000 units."

I'd very much welcome your comments on Apple's iPod and iTunes business there - my readers are mainly interested in the financial aspect, but also issues like market share.
